Subject to the dictates of modern beauty and the taboos of tradition - when it is not reduced to the expression of violence or hunger - the body of the African man is stigmatized. In an attempt to free him from his complexes, the South African choreographer Robyn Orlin and eight dancers from the Ecole des Sables put the body back at the center of the debate.
For the choreographer, it is urgent to reveal this ordeal, with a sharp and penetrating view that yet retains all the humour, poetry and fantasy for which she is known.
Director: Robyn Orlin (Choreography)
