In this concert, the Reno Pops Orchestra will join forces with the 24-member University of Nevada, Reno Harp Ensemble under the baton of Conductor and Artistic Director, Jane Brown, to celebrate the romance-filled songs and exciting dances of Latin America.
This exhilarating and energetic program will feature a premier of music for harps and orchestra written by internationally renowned Paraguayan harpist and composer, Alfredo Rolando Ortiz, as well as classic Latin American orchestral pieces such as "Danzon No. 2" by Arturo Marquez and other Latin favorites by Piazzolla, Ginestera, and Vasquez.
