Madeleine Besson is an actor, singer, musician, composer, sound healer and artist. She has been immersed in theatre, cinema and music from an early age. Her first acting job was at eleven years old in “La Belle Verte”, later on interpreted the lead part in the sequel of “Three Men and a Baby”, “18 ans Après”. She studied theatre at the LAMDA school in London and with The Actors Community. Trained in violin, piano, classical singing and guitar from an early age, she studied jazz and contemporary music at the Cmdl in Paris and at The New School in New York, before recording her first album in Bristol UK and Paris France and touring in France and Germany. She composed music for several plays and films, as well as playing in short films and theatre productions. Madeleine Besson recorded her second and third albums in Nashville where she lived for five years touring in the US. She started creating sound healing channeled meditations in 2020 and painting with her own natural pigments. She is currently working on acting, art exhibits, writing and music projects.
Madeleine Besson’s music is a blend of Indie soul, folk, jazz and pop. Songs from her first album have a rock feel with a power house voice howling for change in this world. The second and third albums are much calmer and subtle, searching for serenity in the face of this life and its hardships while singing her perpetual wonder at how extraordinary and fascinating life can be. She connects to the soul and goes deep into the intricate states of the mind, body, heart and soul through her lyrics, melodies and voice to express the emotions we go through in our lives. From our fears and heartbreaks to the joys, to love and being able to see the beauty in all that is, reconnecting with our heart.
Nature is a big part of her music and creative process. It is where she writes most of her songs, while walking, meditative walks amongst the trees where the inspiration flows. She feels Nature is the haven where we can allow ourselves to be, to observe and to receive the music. “It’s all music, it’s all there, if we just listen and receive, in the silence of the wind blowing, in the leaves and in the songs of birds, of the soil, of the trees. We are all connected with all that is, so when we’re in that state of openness of presence to the now moment, in the space of the heart a lot can happen, and it’s divine. Connecting to the river of frequencies of the worlds."
