Her Jazz remembers soul music, its funky evolution and also incorporates the rhythms and harmonies of traditional music from Eastern Europe, from the Balkans to the East and also from Brazil. It is this blend of influences that makes his music so original. Beneath an apparent seductive simplicity, the melodies conceal great richness, the fruit of a carefully thought-out composition.
Nora KAMM is a German saxophonist, flutist and composer. She started playing the flute at the age of twelve and joined the Frankfurt Brass Philharmonic Orchestra. She discovered the saxophone five years later and fell under the charm of jazz. Since 2011 she has recorded and shared the stage with musicians such as Michel Benita, Andy Sheppard, Emile Parisien, Vincent Peirani, Manu Dibango, Paco Sery, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Mariana Ramos and many more. She is founder of the band Nora Kamm TRIBA, a blend of West African rhythms and jazz. The debut album will be released in autumn 2021.
