The choice of the venue for this brilliant musical banquet is not accidental. It was in Tsarskoye Selo where most of the works of Giovanni Paisiello were performed. Giovanni Paisiello was a famous Italian composer who served as a Kapellmeister at the court of Catherine II. The years of Giovanni Paisiello's life and work in St. Petersburg were, according to researchers of the composer's legacy, the stellar period of his biography. The Empress loved and appreciated the Italian, entrusting him the creation of music for the most important events of her royal life, including the grandiose celebration of her grandson's birthday.

In the concert on the 9th of June, for the first time in Russia, the composer's musical offering to his royal patroness will be performed! At the piano is one of the most famous European pianists of our time, Francesco Nicolosi. Francesco is a pupil of one of the greatest representatives of the Neapolitan piano school. Today, Maestro Nicolosi himself is a major figure in the musical world: he was the head of the Bellini Theatre in Catania, headed major music festivals, now Francesco Nicolosi is the artistic director of the Sigismund Thalberg International Piano Competition, a member of the commission of the Italian Ministry of Culture. Francesco Nicolosi is the winner of many awards, including the Golden Bellini Prize, among the winners of which are recognized stars of the musical Olympus, such as, for example, Plácido Domingo. On the occasion of two rare concertos performing music by Paisiello, the famous Italian critic and musicologist Paolo Isotta described Francesco Nicolosi: "he has gained a reputation as one of our greatest living pianists!".

In the second part of the evening, the symphony orchestra under the baton of conductor Christian Deliso will perform the most excerpts from operas and bright soundtracks, which have become classics of the 20th and 21st centuries for films about kings and emperors. A lot of musical surprises and discoveries await the audience!
