Live Concert "COUNTRY STARS & WESTERN SKIES"
SigmArt, in partnership with The Reno Pops Orchestra, is delighted to present the Concert "COUNTRY STARS & WESTERN SKIES" from the Hawkins Amphitheatre, Bartley Ranch in Reno, Nevada (USA) on the 12th of July 2025 at 19.30 PDT (BST -8H) exclusive Live streaming on SigmArt.
With Country Music Singing Star LACY J.DALTON, together with the Reno Pops Orchestra, under the baton of Conductor and Artistic Director, Jane Brown, will be featuring Western music, favorite western movie soundtracks and will also perform the world premiere of After-Glow, by Jonathan Sokol.
This symphonic poem depicts the captivating story from Bertha Raffetto's 1948 epic poem, The Ballad of Katie Hoskins, in which the composer depicts Katie's exceptional feat of courage, superior horsemanship, and endurance, during her nighttime ride across the high desert of Nevada to save the life of an innocent man. This historic piece is the creative result of a joint venture between RENEW, the Nevada Arts Council, Paul Fleming, Eileen Brownell, Jane Brown, the Reno Pops Orchestra, and the composer, and will surely join the catalogue of orchestral works honoring the legacy of Nevada's past and its brave pioneers.
The evening's program will also feature the wildlife photography of Larry Neel to accompany sound scores by Aaron Copland, and Tahoe: Sierranade for Orchestra, by former Reno spiritual leader and Reno Pops Orchestra arranger, the late Gary Buchanan.
