At the frontiers of the profane and the sacred, Les Cris de Paris present their concert "Venetian Passions" at the Ambronay Festival. Directed by Geoffroy Jourdain, Les Cris de Paris continues its exploration of seventeenth-century Italian music. For this performance, the members of the ensemble invite us to (re)discover the amorous madrigals of Monteverdi, Cavalli or Lotti and their sacred parodies born under the vaults of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice. Les Cris de Paris Created by Geoffroy Jourdain, Les Cris de Paris performs an instrumental and vocal repertoire ranging from the early sixteenth century to the present day. Rich and varied, the ensemble is made up of composers, actors, directors, dancers, sound designers, arrangers, choir directors... Depending on the performance, there can be three or eighty people on stage. From contemporary music to early music, Les Cris de Paris presents their musical projects in concerts and performances combining several artistic forms.
