"The Renaissance invites itself to Ambronay" Doulce Mémoire presents its new creation "Missa Pro Victoria" at the Ambronay Festival.
For the duration of a show, the ensemble recreates a religious ceremony of the Renaissance. On the program are works by Tomás Luis de Victoria, Constanzo Festa, Pietro del Buono... These pieces are performed by nine singers. The musicians used wind instruments that were very popular during the Renaissance (chalemie, oboe, turntable and sackbut).
Doulce Mémoire Founded in 1989 by Denis Raisin Dadre, Doulce Mémoire is dedicated to Renaissance music and theatre. Made up of a team of singers and musicians, the ensemble travels the world to perform their numerous productions "Requiem for Anne of Brittany", "'Honest Courtisan", "Magnificences at the Court of France" and collaborate with international artists such as the Hang Tang Yuefu troupe from Taiwan or the Turkish ney player Kudsi Erguner.
